People of all ages training together on the bars at a Steel Warriors gym
Our programmes

BuiltAroundYou

Every young person arrives with different strengths, interests and challenges. Wherever they start, we meet them there, and connect them with the right next step.

What we run

Our programmes

Each programme has its own purpose. Together they connect into one pathway.

Community calisthenics

Built of Steel

Free community sessions, and often the first way in. Qualified coaches run progressive calisthenics where everyone starts at their own level.

Steel in Schools

We take Steel Warriors to young people, with calisthenics, wellbeing and personal development in schools, colleges and alternative provision.

Dance & sport

Steel in Motion

Dance, movement and calisthenics together. Another way in for young people who don't connect with traditional sport.

Women & girls

Steel Sisters

Sessions for girls and young women to build strength, confidence and friendships in a welcoming space built around them.

Inclusive calisthenics

Beyond Barriers

For children and young people with SEND, disabilities and additional needs. We adapt the activity around the young person, not the other way round.

Future Warriors

Calisthenics is the hook; mentoring from coaches young people can trust does the rest, with routes into specialist support when it's needed.

Steel Connection

With specialist partners, for young people at higher risk of serious violence or exploitation. Trust comes first, then personalised support.

Leading and shaping

Youth Leadership & Youth Voice

Young people lead and shape our work as ambassadors, role models and in paid Youth Voice roles.

Relationships make the difference

Our coaches aren't just there to teach a pull-up. They build consistent, positive relationships with young people, and are trained to notice when someone may need extra support and connect them to it.

Physical activity is often the doorway. The relationship is what keeps that door open.
